Bandhavgarh National Park is renowned for its tiger safari in India, therefore it would not be strange to observe one here, despite the rarity of tiger sightings. The Park is located in the Madhya Pradesh region of Northern Central India, and despite being a bit off the beaten path, it is relatively easy to get. The two-hour flight from Delhi to Jabalpur, followed by a four-hour drive to the park, is well worth it if you want to view these magnificent animals in their natural habitat. Bandhavgarh is a tiny, wildlife-rich, and aesthetically pleasing park that is ideal for an Indian tiger safari. The ruins of Bandhavgarh Fort dominate the 800m high central plateau that overlooks the rocky hilltops, monsoon and sal forests of the park, which are home to a variety of fauna and flora, including approximately 90 tigers, 25 leopards, chital, sambar, langur monkeys, jackals, and a number of birds such as the crested serpent eagle, white-eyed buzzard, and parakeets! Bandhavgarh National Park Tiger Safari is one of the more recent additions to Project Tiger, but its history is thought by some to stretch back to the 1st century BC; with its extensive cave systems and historic remains, new discoveries continue to be made today! The park is one of the smallest in India and boasts the highest population of tigers. There is an estimated one tiger for every four kilometres, making the likelihood of spotting one extremely high!
Ranthambore National Park In addition to tiger sightings, Ranthambore is an excellent destination for a tiger safari in India because of its magnificent fort and diverse landscapes. In addition to being one of the best locations for spotting tigers in the wild, the high rocky slopes, dry woodland, grassy plains, and lakes make this a spectacular destination for the beauty alone. This park is teeming with tigers, and while your odds of seeing one are never certain, they are rather high. A recent extension into five additional regions and the deployment of a new fleet of jeeps have helped to disperse tourists and encourage more tigers to cross the park’s limits. Once you see your first tiger, you will understand why so many people came here on tiger safaris despite the huge number of tourists.
Kanha National Park In addition to Bandhavgarh National Park, Kanha National Park is a beautiful location and one of the best spots to watch tigers in India. The two parks function well together. Kanha National Park is one of India’s largest national parks and the setting for “The Jungle Book.” Kanha is likewise situated in the Madhya Pradesh region of India and is roughly the same distance from the Jabalpur Airport. Due to the park’s two entrances, it is possible to drive from one side of the park to the other during a safari. Driving through this park in quest of tigers is a genuinely memorable experience due to the park’s beautiful environment. This striped predator blends seamlessly with the forest undergrowth, making its eventual discovery all the more exciting. This is one of the greatest places to follow tigers in the wild due to Kanha’s abundance of wildlife and robust eco-system.
